Rubidium delivers unmatched signal purity, output power, frequency stability and exceptional utility for a broad range of measurement applications across 9 kHz to 70 GHz frequency range.

From Anritsu.com

Signal purity determines quality of measurements in several applications such as radar, transceiver, ADC/DAC and components testing. Rubidium™ pushes the envelope in phase noise performance with its low and ultra low phase noise options. Coupled with best-in-class harmonic and spurious performance, Rubidium signal generator offers industry leading overall signal purity performance that enables customers to make more accurate measurements.

Anritsu MG362x1A with rubidium extension

Rubidium MG362x1A offers atomic clock frequency stability with an internal rubidium frequency reference option. Alternatively, customers can also get exceptional frequency stability by locking an internal oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) reference to an external GNSS/GPS signal. The exceptional frequency stability makes Rubidium an ideal signal generator for Metrology and high speed clock applications.

Rubidium’s AM, FM/PM and Pulse modulation capabilities enable generation of wide range of complex analog modulated signals. Simultaneous modulation of AM/FM, AM/PM, or FM/Pulse is possible to generate complex modulation waveforms such as chirps. Wide range of signal simulation capabilities are built into the signal generators for pulsed radar testing, as well.

Rubidium features a 7 inch touch screen along with keypad and dial on the front panel. Four USB 3.0 ports on the front panel enable connecting to a variety of devices such as memory devices and Anritsu’s USB power sensors. Standard drivers such as IVI.NET and IVI-C along with support of SCPI commands make remote programming of Rubidium quick and efficient.
